I got hurt at work on overtime. Gallagher Bassett was supposed to "handle" my claim. They denied my claim. It took them 5 weeks to tell me that. In the mean while I'm at work on light duty til then.

As soon as they said that "they" think it wasn't work related I was no longer able to come back to work. They didn't return any of my calls. I had to end up getting a lawyer to get workers comp. They didn't respond to ant of the lawyers attempts to contact them either. I currently have no home.

I'm staying with a friend. I have no car. I have to wait on others to take me places I need to go. I lost that too because of the "place" Gallagher Bassett has put me in. I have nothing thanks to them! I had to sell my furniture in my home just to have money because I cant afford storage.

I had to get surgery, therapy n everything they have not paid for a thing yet. I'm still getting bills from the hospital n everyone else I had to see because Gallagher wont contact them back even though I've won in court already. They are supposed to pay all bills associated with this injury.

They have not been held responsible for any of their actions. They think its a game. They play wit peoples lives as if we are nothing. Like we don't matter. I have been going through *** because of Gallagher Bassett Services.

My wrist is sooo messed up I'm not even supposed to be working but I had go and get a part-time job. Just to have a income. Still not enough to support a home n all my finances so I'm still struggling til today. I have not returned to work yet. I've been out of work since last summer.

I won in court for workers comp and still have not received a payment yet. Someone needs to do something about Gallagher Bassett Services because their not "servicing" anyone. They SUCK!!!

my husband got killed in a semi wreck they keep sending me my checks in his name or they dont send them at all im raising our dauighter alone and depend on that money im disabled and cant work they dont returen calls they really suck

Hello everyone! First of After you get treated by the workers comp Clinic who Receive 90% of their Business from WC Carriers do you really think they have your wellbeing in mind?

Most of them will not *** the hand that feeds them so NO you will not be properly diagnosed and evaluated for treatment. And obtaining lawyer does not guaranty you will get results either. But your best bet is Play the game. First of all always get your physicians Dictation/Script because they tell you one thing in the office and dictate something completely different to worker comp.

and if you see errors in His or Her dictation from what you were told confront them and ask why this is different. if they try to dance around this then you know they favor the Money and not their Hippocratic oath. remember you always have the right to ask for a specialist doctor. and this does not count as your one option to change doctors.

also if you ask for a independent medical exam IME this does not count either. think of it as a second opinion. to select a good doctor ask your co workers who probably have already been thru this how were their doctors usually a good doctor will have a loyal following you can also obtain an independent evaluation thru your personal insurance if you got it.

And remember the attorney you get will also receive a flat rate from WC to represent you so there is no Hurry.

I got hurt on the job back in July 2011,I have had 2 surgeries on my knee by their @#$%#@Doctor and its still not right.They told me I could request another Doctor but he might be even worse.what kind of a thing is this to tell a person trying to get better.And by the way he is worse.He is a yes man for the insurance company.He looked at me for about 2 minutes and told me to go back to work.This company should be under investigation.

my husband slipped and fell on one a slippery marble like tile outside our apartment home which we were paying over 3 grand per month. the fall, which he slipped, fell and slid down, it was raining, banged his head and got a compound fracture in his back ...

gallagher bassett sent a letter for us to sign that they will take a small portion off our rent only if we sign. the letter said we give up any and all claims to the apartment complex whether it was something intentionally done to us or non intentionally done to us .. now who in their right mind would sign that? i was appalled and did not sign, nor did my husband (they wanted both of us ...

just in case they wanted to harm us?? and i paid the full rent. they did nothing while my husband, who has been in agonizing pain for the past year plus, had to deal with the pain and help of our doctors on our dime. they refused to do anything other than constantly call and harass us.

i wish i knew someone who was successful in making them do what they are supposed to do, look into the matter -- all of this was on video tape and there were other resident witnesses and my husband's friend who was right outside the building waiting for him who watched the entire thing. he fell again a few days later, we had awful rains and they did not put up any safety carpets or handles on the railing, a very sleek metal that when you grab, all you do is slide down it. anyone have any help with their problems with this company?

ALL OF YOU NEED TO FILE COMPLAINTS WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF INSURANCE.YOU CAN DO IT ONLINE. THIS COMPANY WILL GET FINED IF THEY DONT RESPOND. ALSO WITH THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU IF THEY ARE MEMBERS.

I was totally misled regarding Gallagher Bassett, who informed me last year that they would be taking over my "medical care". No bigger BS was ever told.

Instead, they ended my association with the doctor that WC had been having me see, and told me to see another doctor "because he was on their list" of doctors to see. BS!!!!! Little did I know that he was never meant to be my doctor, and was only paid for a few minutes of his time to write me off as "fully healed". I have permanent injuries, and will never get some of my function back after a catastrophic injury.

They won't even let me see, or give me copies of my medical file, which is illegal since it's part of HIPPA law. These people should be hung out to dry. Had I known sooner that this is what they do, I would have gotten an attorney immediately.

I suggest anyone new to them definitely....GET AN ATTORNEY, as well as file charges against them with both the state in which you live, as well as the state in which they are controlling your "case". (in my case, 2 separate states).

My Husband was hit in the head with a 20T Machine. He has a broken neck.

GB has denied him surgery because they believe his pain is in his head! HE HAS A BROKEN NECK! He is under 30 and now has no life and is in constant pain! What they are doing to him is DISGUSTING!

They pay us wages when they feel like it. They constantly lose all paper work. We have medication expenses over $300 per week. We have recieved a cheque for $114.00.

This has been going on 6 months. They never return phone calls they constantly lie! I have contacted my lawyer and we are taking out claims manager to court...but that wont help us they dont care what we do! GB are a joke!

If anything happens to my Husband they better start running because I will be after them!

I understand that this is their job but after seeing my Husband i do not know how they can sleep at night! They make me SICK!

Oh no, Kimmy, they are not idiots not at all. They are very good at what they do. no, not idiots -- they get paid for what they do - and if they didn't do it so well they would not be one of the top wc insurance companies, especially for so many years. No, what they are is unscrupulous, trained to be mean, nasty, arrogant and definitely committed to being the most difficult people to work with -- if you are the injured party. However if you are the company(s) looking to hire a wc insurance group they are one of the best. They don't refer potential companies/corporations to their "we're so good and will represent you with the utmost integrety, timeliness, compassion, etc. Oh, no, kimmy, they direct prospective companies/corps to SIGHT JUST LIKE THIS ONE!

Oh, how the eyes of the CEO's, CFO's, board of directors, etc, do glow upon reading these complaints, as they learn, from us!) how good GB is; how horrible GB treats the claiments, the wounded, injured, in pain, and all of the others looking for the help they so desperately need AND DESERVE. Go visit your former boss and here how 'concerned they are for you, "How are you doing today? Gosh, I'm (we're so sorry about the accident, keep in touch, we're all praying for you" etc. Knowing all of the time that they have the best company they could hire working for them, to *** out of the help you need, and deserve and were promised as part of 'your' benefits. I could go on and on about GB and how very clever they are, but you get the picture.

A former adjuster who had worked for them (now a friend) told me she was fired for breaking their #1 Rule: The absolutely, positively, don't ever, ever even think of doing this, unpardonable, unforgivable, big brother is watching you (and listening - all phone calls are recorded & all messages, faxed or written) the constantly drilled into them, the 'your-***-is-out-the-door-now' outrageous sin of **** ta, ta, ta, da the famous, "3 C's" ****: showing COMPASSION, CONCERN & CARING! Yep, that's what is drilled into them, during training (by the way, they are asked if they have any religious-type beliefs - totally not allowed on applicaions or interviews. They do say you don't have to answer that question (if you don't, however, they know the answer). They tll you they only ask it for scheduling purposes-you know, in case maybe you want to attend services on certain days. Yeah, right, how thoughtful of them, huh. "Oh, unfortunately there are no openings at the present time but we'll call you if one should open." The more unscruptiously you present yourself to be the better your chances of getting hired. Ah, but don't forget about the taped phone calls, copied messages, the seemingly most friendly of all co-workers who wants to spend time with you, help you, the lets-do-lunch tyype -- the moles! So, no kimmy, and others, GB is not *** & their employees are not idiots. They are very, very clever and any problems they can create for you or your attorney makes them all the more marketable - to your boss, my boss, all of our bosses and the oh-so-concerned head(s) of the organization/corporation. But don't worry - they're praying for you!

GB are liars at least the guy i am dealing with is,david taylor at GB in stirling,falkirk council were renovating a house above me,they put new bath in but plumber forgot to hook up drain pipe on bottom of bath to outside pipe,council did a drain down on xmas eve 09,and ran bath taps to empty water tanks,but as pipe not connected to outside,i got both tanks of water down to my house,i was still mopping up xmas day,short of it is,put claim in to falkirk council,for wallpaper and carpets,total of replacement ร‚ยฃ703.the council HAVE ADMITTED LIABILTY TO ME IN PERSON AND GB,THEY EVEN INSTRUCTED GB JUST TO PAY ME,even the council are pd of at gb just wasting time to deal with it.i sent an email to gb on 31 march,they phoned me at home on 8th april and david taylor said i got your email on 31 march but i am to busy to read it,i will read it next week,even the council insurance inspector that came to see damage,cleared the claim,this is now april long way from december,all i am claiming for is replacement of wall paper and flooring.in fact the carpet i am claiming for is ร‚ยฃ80 cheaper than the one i had just put down 6 months before flood,gb like to play god with peoples lives,and dont care if people suffer through it all,

No they are not a bank, they are a risk managment company hired by large insurance companies to screw people over.

I worked for GB for quite a while and they treat their employees almost as bad as they treat their claimants. They have a ridiculous array of "quality" standards that makes good claim handling nearly impossible.

There are good claimspeople at GB, but they are so ham-strung that complying with their nternal standards are a joke and there are countless stories of good GB employees getting canned for not following protocol. Granted there are very good, kind, and caring people at GB, but the company is not concerned at all with serving customers (clients as well as claimants). All their rhetoric about quality service and customer orientation are an absolute sham!

GB promises clients a certain maximum number of open files per employee, but what they do is code numerous claims as assigned to supervisors then regular claims people handle them which puts their claim count way over the promised max. GB is probably the NASTIEST company out there to work for.

Everyone wants money when it is NOT owed to them. GB is not a bank.

They abide by the laws and regulations of each state. Obviously... since they have been in business for 80 years and one of the leading TPA's around. Yes, I agree do some research and you'll see what is owed to you.

As far as the timliness of your claim, each of you think you are the ONLY person out there when there is as many as 7000 open claims in some of these branches. These people will work harder than you'll ever know in a life time.
