I have reviewed many posts and accusations against the company and the claims adjusters. Just to set the record straight, GB is a Third Party Administrator. They are not an "insurance" company as you may think. This simply means that they handle the claims for the company paying them, such as your employer. This means that it is your "employers" money. Therefore, GB employee's cannot pay a claim without their approval.

Every state has different guidelines that you may or may not like, but that does not mean that they can disregard laws to appease you. Therefore, you automatically assume that it is their fault. So before you post negative comments on here, search for your states legislative laws and see if your situation falls within that criteria. Do your homework! Get your medical records and review carefully. Do not blame the adjuster if there is something that you disagree with, contact your doctor. If your claim was denied or you dispute a certain aspect of your claim, appeal it to the Courts. If the Courts deny your claim, then blame it on the Courts. Its that simple.

I have been handling claims for many years, and everyday, we deal with the most unreasonable people. So when you "threaten" us with an attorney, you have truly made our day. It is much easier to deal with your attorney (someone who knows the laws) rather than having to explain it over and over to someone who does not listen because they do not get what they want. That is why there is delayed responses from the adjusters and that is why we are so overworked.

I have to disagree. My caseworker ignores my calls.

Doesnt mail my money on time EVER. Doesn't pay the medical bills.....shall I go on??

I would like to thank GB and Susan,I feel like she has been very in touch with me. She has kept up with me and the process with my doctors for almost two years.

I'm not happy with everything but it could be a lot worse.I was in management and I understand that you can't please everyone and you have rules to go by. always remember.......

pray God has a plan for us, He may be telling us something. :)

GB does not make money by denying claims. They are not an insurance company like you may use for auto insurance.

They are a TPA and get paid for handling claims based on the state laws in your area. Whether the claims are accepted or denied doesn't matter.

Workers' compensation is not a disability plan or a retirement package. If you are actually hurt on the job, do what you are told when you are told to by your adjuster and do not exaggerate or fake anything you should be taken care of.

As a fellow GB employee, our hands are pretty much tied. We are only the little guys investigating the claims, paying the bills, processing the benefits and making sure everything is processes accordingly with the law set by the state and within the guidelines set by the client (employer). If you are upset, talk with your employer or an attorney.

I am not familiar with Auto or the processes with Auto so I really cannot comment on that aspect. Unfortunately, there is a lot of turn over in every company and that is likely the reason that you have a new adjuster frequently.

It is frustrating for us as well and it does prevent us from being able to resolve the case loads that we have. That is likely why you see a delay with your claim :(

Just to address another comment....YES....I have been injured on the job before and my claim was DENIED...I understood, because I knew what the laws were. I didnt get what I wanted, but it is what it is....

If that were the case, then she would receive additional money...its called a "penalty"...So, blame your attorney too for not doing their job....Leads me to believe that there is another reason that you are not explaining because you probably are not familiar with the laws.
